Another Brick In The Wall, Part I

Daddy's gone across the ocean,
Leaving just a memory,
A snapshot in the family album.
Daddy, what else did you leave for me?
Daddy, whatcha leave behind for me?
All in all it was just a brick in the wall.
All in all it was just the bricks in the wall.

Mother

Mother, do you think they'll drop the bomb?
Mother, do you think they'll like this song?
Mother, do you think they'll try to break my balls?
Mother, should I build a wall?
Mother, should I run for President?
Mother, should I trust the government?
Mother, will they put me in the firing line?
Is it just a waste of time?

Hush, my baby. Baby, don't you cry.
Momma's gonna make all of your nightmares come true.
Momma's gonna put all of her fears into you.
Momma's gonna keep you right here under her wing.
She won't let you fly, but she might let you sing.
Momma's gonna keep Baby cozy and warm.
of course Momma's gonna help build a wall.

The Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging

The last great adventure left to mankind
Screams a drooping lady
Offering her dream dolls at less than extortionate prices,
And as the notes and coins are taken out
I'm taken in, to the factory floor.

For the Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging
All ready to use the Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging just need a fuse.

Got people stocked in every shade,
Must be doing well with trade.
Stamped, addressed, in odd fatality.
That evens out their personality.
With profit potential marked by a sign,
I can recognize some of the production line,
No bite at all in labour bondage,
Just wrinkled wrappers or human bandage.

The Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging
All ready to use
It's the Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging just need a fuse.

The hall runs like clockwork
Their hands mark out the time,
Empty in their fullness
Like a frozen pantomime.
Everyone's a sales representative
Wearing slogans in their shrine.
Dishing out failsafe superlative,
Brother John is No. 9.

For the Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging
All ready to use
It's the Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging just need a fuse.

The decor on the ceiling
Has planned out their future day
I see no sign of free will,
So I guess Ill have to pay, pay my way,
For the Grand Parade.
For the Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging
All ready to use
The Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging just need a fuse.

The Boxer

I am just a poor boy and my stories seldom told
I’ve squandered my resistance for a pocketful of mumbles, such are promises
All lies and jest, still the man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest, hmmmm

When I left my home and my family, I was no more than a boy
In the company of strangers
In the quiet of the railway station, running scared
Laying low, seeking out the poorer quarters, where the ragged people go
Looking for the places only they would know

The Boxer – Simon & Garfunkel

How Many Parties Can We Remember?

After the reformation in 1998, parties are all around, local and national parties were formed with some reasons; ones could not convey their aspiration with new-order formed 3 parties or ones just formed party for the sake of forming the party.

This activity of forming party usually bloomed 2 years before general election, since they have to register the party, verified based on branch office etc, and later on decided as qualified to enlist in party list in ballot

A party had to be promoted, so the former should make shirts, flags, stickers and any other items to make voters remember that such party existed.

There is a 2% threshold (cant remember, is it 2% or less) basically party which got less than 2% will not be qualified anymore in next general election, they have to do a fusion process with other party to exceed the 2% or just simply disbanded (legally) and change the name

No I can not remember this party, is it from 2004 election or 1999 election? But who cares anyway, since you have a free t shirt

I Suddenly Remember Sukardal

I suddenly remember Sukardal on Saturday morning two weeks ago, particularly when i saw the pedicab drivers taking a rest after working.

They start at 03.00 AM, bringing vegetables and other sellers to market, and later on 11AM they will work again, I suddenly feel life is so unsure overhere, but I dont know why

Sukardal hanging himself on July 2, 1986 in Bandung West Java on a Tanjung Tree after his pedicab was confiscated by TIBUM, he is 53 years old on that day.

He left four children behind, and his last wish was, wanted to be buried near his wife in Majalengka, but too much and impossible, to send the death body with out any financial support. The Pedicab costed Sukardal Fifty Thousands Rupiah in 1986. the loan was just paid, the Pedicab was his property now.

Near a Tanjung Tree, there was a writing (later on erased) 'i hanged myself because my pedicab was taken by TIBUM Dog'

Mother

Mother, you had me but I never had you,
I wanted you but you didn't want me,
So I got to tell you, Goodbye, goodbye.

Farther, you left me but I never left you,
I needed you but you didn't need me,
So I got to tell you, Goodbye, goodbye.

Children, don't do what I have done,
I couldn't walk and I tried to run,
So I got to tell you, Goodbye, goodbye.

Mama don't go, Daddy come home.
Mama don't go, Daddy come home.
Mama don't go, Daddy come home.
Mama don't go, Daddy come home.
Mama don't go, Daddy come home.
Mama don't go, Daddy come home.
Mama don't go, Daddy come home...
(John Lennon)

Carpet Crawlers

There is lambswool under my naked feet.

The wool is soft and warm,- gives off some kind of heat.

A salamander scurries into flame to be destroyed.

Imaginary creatures are trapped in birth on celluloid.

The fleas cling to the golden fleece, Hoping they'll find peace.

Each thought and gesture are caught in celluloid.

There's no hiding in my memory. There's no room to avoid.

Waitin' on a Friend

Watchin' girls go passing by
It ain't the latest thing

Don't need a whore, don't need now booze,
don't need a virgin priest.
But I need some one I can cry to,
I need someone to protect.

Ooh, making love and breaking hearts,
It is a game for youth.
But I'm not waiting on a lady,
I'm just waiting on a friend.

A smile relieves a heart that grieves,
remember what I said.
I'm not waiting on a lady,
I'm just waiting on a friend.

Family Ties

Why do we need Family?

a family tax benefit?
someone who will take care later on?

Support?
someone you can cry on?

Why do We need family?

And Thou Shalt Remember

...and Thou Shalt remember, there is a life after death

and Thou Shalt remember, those every breaths are for Me

Misplaced Childhood

So I see it's me, I can do anything
And I'm still the child 'Cos the only thing misplaced was direction
And I found direction
There is no childhood's end
You are my childhood friend,
lead me on

There's a presence
A child, my child My childhood, a misplaced childhood
Give it back to me, give it back to me
A childhood, that childhood
Oh please give it back to me.
