Outside the Godean market was also interesting. Workers, coolies and children (to their parents kiosk after school) were mixed.

Woke up early in the morning, we took soto kadipiro as breakfast. then we go to Godean market. A market outside Jogjakarta. The scene inside the market, dark with inadequate lighting was so perfect for my ISO 3200 and 35mm f/1.2 lens.

Tired as we are middle aged now. We tried to stop at Angkringan, sipped a hot thick sweet tea with cookies. as night get old then home we go as tomorrow we would go to Godean!

As Bird need cage, there was also cage seller in Ngasem, across the road. The daughter was there babysitting her younger brother after school.

Jogjakarta - Ngasem Part 2 (The Bird Race)

In the corner of Ngasem, there was an activity to train dove for bird racing. the female dove separated with male dove and male dove was taken away and release. so it's racing to find female dove.

It was time consuming training, some dove may not be back to the female dove and considered 'Missing In Action"

Then after considered ready, dove can be sold.

Ngasem is Bird Market legal and illegal. if you tried hard enough you could find endangered species sold there.

It was dawn in Pakem and all the cages, birds and bird food are to be kept inside. Some sellers took a rest and some take a food and some were preparing for tomorrow
